How to set a Tracking URL

Seeker provides an integrated service of “Create Posts & Tracking URLs”, so you don't need to use a shortening tool to separately record the clicks of URLs.

The Tracking URL service can not only be used when you create a post in Seeker, but also in setting the private message of Chatbot Tag and Auto-Reply.

There are two main functions of Seeker Tracking URL service:

  1. Record the number of clicks and click time

  2. List the fans who clicks certain URLs

You can set the Tracking URL in the following situations:

  1. When creating the content of the post, add a Tracking URL in the post.

  2. When setting the private message of Auto-reply, enable the Tracking Function in the button.

  3. Setting the Default/Keyword Message in the Chatbot Service - Message Page, and turn on Tracking Function in the button.

  4. Editing the Broadcast content and enabling the Tracking Function in the button.

  5. Setting the Persistent Menu of Default Message.

All the above scenarios can track the number and time of URL clicks. If you want to track the fan list, you must set the Tracking URL in situations 2-4 (See the situations above).

Setting steps:

1. When creating the content of the post, add a Tracking URL in the post

  • Go to the "Post & Analysis" page and click "Create Post"

  • Set the content of the post, and enter the URL you want to track on the right side, and click "+ Tracking URL"

  • You can name this URL so that you can understand the use of it later.

  • After editing, remember to schedule or publish the post.

2. When setting the private message of Auto-reply, enable the Tracking Function in the button.

  • Edit private messages in “Chatbot Tag and Auto-reply”, add a “Text” and enable Tracking function in the button when you create a post or edit a Post Event.

  • After editing, make sure you enable the auto-reply, then the tracking URLs will start working!

3. Setting the Default/Keyword Message in the Chatbot Service - Message Page, and turn on Tracking Function in the button.

  • Go to “Message”, add a Keyword.

  • Arrange the keywords, tags, and corresponding replies.

  • Choose “Text” or “Carousel” as a reply of the keywords, and then direct the button below to “Link”.

  • Enter target URL, and enable “Tracking Function”.

  • Publish the bot to make Keywords and related Tracking URLs work.

4. Editing the Broadcast content and enabling the Tracking Function in the button.

  • Go to “Broadcast”, add a new broadcast message.

  • Choose targeted group and basic settings.

  • Choose “Text” or “Carousel” as content, and then direct the button below to “Link”

  • Enter target URL, and enable “Tracking Function”.

  • Publish or schedule the broadcast.

View Tracking URL performance report

If you open the Tracking URL function in the private message component (including the private message reply of the post, keyword message, broadcast, etc.), click the URL to enter the single tracking URL report, and you can see the clicked list.

You can set tags for these fans, or download the fan lists to use them as advertising audiences.

Additionally, you can adjust the next Marketing strategy by:

  1. Clicking in the overall report and the single fan report to check the URLs that fans like.

  2. Tracking the actual performance of the post.
